Services at St Nic’s
There are three services on Sundays, each with its own “flavour”. On Sunday mornings, the 9.00am service is quiet with a traditional style of worship, while the 10.30am has a livelier style with more modern music and groups for children (including a crèche) and young people. The children and young people begin in their groups (please ask a steward in church for directions) and join with the adults in church towards the end of the service.
On one Sunday each month we share communion together first, and then the youth and children leave. Once or twice a term the 10.30am service is “All-Age” and the whole church family worships and learns together.
On Sunday evenings we meet for “sunday@seven”, which starts at 7.00pm. It is a more informal time with space for worship, the Word, testimony, and prayer.
The teaching often follows a theme but is always based on the Bible, the Word of God.
At communion we welcome all who know and love the Lord Jesus to share in the bread and wine. Baptism services are planned throughout the year when the whole church joins together. For young people and adults there is the option of baptism by full immersion.
There are always trained people available to pray with anyone who wants prayer after the services and also during the week. Anyone may ask for prayer for healing or in response to the Holy Spirit’s prompting during the worship.
