Women’s Fellowship
Meeting every other Monday afternoon, this group provides a quiet oasis for predominantly older ladies in the congregation. A visiting speaker is often arranged for the meeting and we periodically organise a trip out.
We’ve heard some wonderful stories from current and past members of St Nic’s over the last few years. Liz Harrison told of the challenges of teaching english to foreign students; Dave and Nikki kept us enthralled with their stories and visual aids about their work in Burkina Faso; Dorothy Grace delighted us with slide illustrations when she took us “down in the woods today”.
Our social events have included strawberry tea, a tea and quiz with the Rector, a pre-Christmas lunch at the Gateway Hotel, and a sparkling Christmas concert featuring talented artistes from our own numbers!
