Prayer Groups

We believe that prayer has a vital role in our church life and want to encourage both public and private prayer.

Monthly Prayer Cycle

This starts with news about church developments, missionary news, and forthcoming events being sent to all small groups at the beginning of the month, with an expectation that there will be a special prayer focus given during the first week. Special items for prayer that arise are sent out via email throughout the month to all church members in the system.

Weekly Prayer

Perhaps you’re not able to join a small group but would prefer to meet either regularly or just occasionally to pray for St Nic’s. Each week a small group meets for an hour in the Church Centre to do just that. Anyone is very welcome to come along at 8pm as we pray for the life of the church and for the staff team. Prayer Triplets

Many members of the church are also members of Prayer Triplets. They endeavour to meet up in their threes on a regular basis to support and pray for each other and for St Nic’s. For some though, finding time to meet is nearly impossible so they have formed “virtual” prayer triplets! Items for prayer are shared via email and the members commit to praying for those requests at a time most convenient to them. Occasional face to face meetings are also arranged!
