St Nic’s supports a number of people who either are or have been members of the congregation and have been called by God to a particular ministry and sent out by the church for this purpose. They are all involved in some form of Christian work which includes evangelism, social action, and church building. Some have been called to work in other countries whilst others remain in this country and some in Nottingham.
Footprints Theatre Trust – Steve and Janet Stickley
Footprints Theatre Trust recently
celebrated over 28 years of creating and performing theatre and
storytelling for all ages. Performing, and conducting practical workshops
and arts residencies with thousand of children and teachers, Footprints
specialises in work with primary schools in the East Midlands region

The Kingdom Trust – Roy McCloughry
Roy is a writer, communicator, and director
of Kingdom Trust. His work enables Christians to relate to issues they
face in work and family life, public affairs and social issues from a
Biblical standpoint. Current work includes helping the church to look at
issues that particularly affect men. Based at St Nic’s, his latest book,
aimed at teenagers, is entitled “God, Sex, the Universe and all that.”

Nigel and Susan Hyde (Mission Direct)
St Nics sent
Nigel and Susan Hyde with their four girls into missions in 1996. They
founded Mission Direct, sending short term unskilled volunteer teams to
share faith and join partners in building clinics, schools, and so on

Liz Babbs
Liz Babbs is a writer, performer and
broadcaster. Her aim is to put Christianity back on the agenda of those
who describe themselves as spiritual, but who look to other areas to

Lois Thompson
Lois writes: “I work with the Africa Mercy
Hospital Ship, as an educator for their community health projects,
training leaders in local villages about how to avoid getting malaria,
worms, general hygiene issues and so on. We travel to African states along

Alison Fletcher
Alison writes: “I live at
Kiwoko Hospital in rural Uganda, working in the physiotherapy department
with a whole host of patients including adults and children with HIV/AIDS.
It is a unique place to work, with belief in our motto – ‘We treat,
Jesus heals’.”
Herb and Gill Reagan
Herb and
Gill and family live in Worcester in South Africa where they work with The People’s Church. They are
particularly involved in building community development projects.
